      According to NSB

Mosley on Cotto's resume = Best win of Cotto's career

Mosley on Mayweather's resume = Mosley was old, past his prime, cherry-picked, so on and so forth........

Cotto gets plenty of credit for fighting Mosley and putting up a very good performance aswell.

        From me anyway.

just like Margarito didnt get any praise when he fought Cotto...Cotto Looked bad against Ricardo Mayorga a.k.a the human punching bag....
I assume you mean Mosley looked bad against Mayorga. Honestly anyone who fought Mayorga that night would of looked bad. He was doing a lot of holding and hitting. Shane came through with a brutal knockout. Plus 154 isnt exactly Shane's best weight.

I dont see Floyd getting a ton of credit but alot of people thought Shane beat Cotto or came very close, then he stopped Mayorga, and then wrecked a Margarito who killed a prime Cotto. Thats why its elevated in some people's mind

now that i think about it...I think Floyds ONLY getting credit for finally fighting a true WW or a guy who is a threat. Cotto is a real fighter who wouldnt get this credit because he fights everyone and has a great resume in the WW division. He gets credit for the win and the fight itself. Its just not unusual to see Cotto fight a game ass guy like SSM. Mayweather on the other hand, well...

Yea ma bad i meant mosley....and yea right come on now, no matter how it went, it took him 12 rounds to beat that bum and it was a difficult for him..and it was close 105-104 107-102 and 1 judge had mayorga winning 104-105....thats pittiful

he didnt seem to have that problem against Fernando Vargas or Oscar De La Hoya.....

Don't get me wrong I like the fight and I'm happy Floyd is stepping up his game but it looks like a double standard the credit his getting.
Because Mayweather is so reluctant to fight the best that when he does actually step up its made out to be something special when in actual fact he is just doing what he should of been doing.

Cotto also beat a much better version to.
