Former Fres Oquendo manager Tom Tsakas contacted BoxingScene.com after reading a piece that ran on the site concerning Dan Goossen's desire for James Toney to get a shot at WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko. "Fres will take that fight. I think he has earned it. James has had his chances over and over. Everyone knows what happened when Fres fought him." I hope HBO doesn't televise a garbage ass fight like that. God the Heavyweight division sucks. Nothing against Vitali, because he throws punches but that fight doesn't even belong on ESPN. The Vlad-Chambers fight is more interesting to me than that.

Fres is a better pick than Toney. He's been fighting relatively frequently and keeps himself in much better shape.

Where have you been? The heavyweight division has been in shambles since the late 90’s, and when the Wlad/Vitali entered the picture all charisma and interest in that weight class has been as relevant as Don King with a comb.

solis would be the biggest challenge. dont be fooled by solis' weight. he actually looked solid at the weigh in against barrett despite the actual weith number. i mean yea he was a little soft but im pretty sure he'd get in tip top shape for this fight. solis is a future top 5 heavyweight. the man has tremendous skills.

Fres has a moral if not recorded victory over Toney and has been winning lately so its not the worst option possible its better than Valuev and big Vit won't have to pay Fres 2.5 mil to fight.
