I don't think this will be the fight of the year. Corrales vs. Castillo was no doubt a total war by two warriors. Tszyu is clever enough not to go toe-to-toe against a dangerous fighter in his backyard and for Hatton this is the chance to show his heart against a real tough guy. I think Tszyu will go to Manchester to outbox Hatton with his skills instead of a total war and the world will see the real face of Hatton.

        hmm

I have the feeling that Mitchell's problems making weight helped him to lose. Tszyu is great and took advantage of that.

Hatton is a whole different beast, and from reading his gameplan he is going to use the exact tactics he needs to in order to win. How will Tszyu deal with someone who is as big and strong as him? It's going to be a close fight until the end in my opinion. Hard to make a pick yet...

even if hatton loses its gonna be a great learning experience for him to be in the same ring as a worldclass fighter, for a change. I remember reading on this site about how that todays fighters with their undefeated records aint all that. If he loses, he gots the skill and determination, i believe, to come back stronger. One day hopefully, for the good of boxing in the UK, he will become the best in his division.

I also think i remember that his fav fighter is duran. Now i try and copy my fav fighter when i box, as many other would do. If he;s like that then i wouldnt question his heart.

it could be, but Tszyo is so skilled, i've seen his couple fights the man really knows boxing, I think he will beat Hatton.

Ricky is not the one trick pony he get's labelled as!... He throw's very effective faints, and has excellent head movement! Kostya Tszyu will DEFINATLY need to bring more than a jab to beat Hatton!

I'm a BIG Ricky Hatton fan and I've watched him his whole career (almost). Ricky will be the guy tieing Tsyzu up as that is his style. I've sat there and watched Ricky's fights a lot of times and I can see very clearly how he fights. He faints, lands a few shots and ties the other fella up... Then he lands the heavy body shots and HOLDS again... And at that point the referee breaks!

Last time I saw true poetry in the ring was Mosely against De La Hoya!
I figure a good jab is a requisite to beat Zoo. You can't be moving forward with a lunging shot or even a good lead hand, against any accurate ****er. Ricky's jab is not known to me, because I've only seen a few fights, but what I've seen doesn't appear to be a refined and effective jab to help him setup something bigger. In fact, he appears to favour walking forward while throwing big time. Or, he tends to walk forward with a ****-load of head movement, not throwing, anticpating he'll "chase" the guy until he's backed against the ropes. Thoughts? This fight interests me greatly, but I don't have much Ricky history to gauge things.
