Was a great fighter in his day. Started as a MW, even fought and put on decent showings as a HW. Ok, so he makes ****** racist remarks, but that doesn't take away what he has done as a boxer.

Anyone who thinks he can beat the K bros are as brain damaged as he is.

He will go down in the HOF but if he had been dedicated he could have done even more than he did. The guy has brilliant defensive skills

He gets treated like god for what he accomplished at 160 and 168.....and his skill level....the fact that he is a throwback fighter with 80 plus fights.....where most of his losses he actually won or was extremely controversial loss.....

The fact that he is the 3rd man to ever hold a title at 160 and hold one at HW......

The fact that he has never been KO'd.....the fact that a former 160 pounder can take a flush shot on the chin from big HW's....wins over McCallum, Barkley (boxing clinic on angles and fighting in the pocket), Michael Nunn, Reggie Johnson.....

he may be fat and punch drunk now but Toney was an awesome fighter in the lower classes..........

let me add that he also beat Jirov for the CW title. If Cruiser had been 200 when James was fighting there, maybe he could have unified that division. or at the very least won the Ring magazine belt.
