  • Do you think Pacquiao vs. Mayweather will ever happen?

I just want to know if you guys think the fight will actually happen. I think so. Either Mayweather or Pacquiao will give in to pressure from the boxing and sports media. I say after their fights with Clottey and Mosley (if they get by them). They may fight someone else after that if negotiations fall through again, but I think it will inevitably happen by next year.

Maybe I have false hope. But if the fight doesn't come through, I will lose respect for Pacquiao, Mayweather, and boxing in general. I will always be a boxing fan, but having the 2 top boxers of this era in their prime and in the same weight class not fight each other is just uncalled for. This would never happen in most other sports besides boxing. I just want to see the damn fight happen.

I agree. Jones vs. Hopkins rematch would have been huge in the early 2000s, but no where near as big as this fight. Plus, Hopkins and Jones already fought and they were about 2 weight divisions apart at the time. And they couldn't agree when it came to the money split.

I Hope.. But you have to realize that they when they start negotiations it's back to square one. Money split(which I think will be a big problem next time), the drug testing etc.. The future looks bleak right now.

If Pacquiao mans up and takes the blood test, the fight will happen.

                    Hell no!

Like I stated before, Pac has little to gain fighting Floyd but everything to lose.
He's already an established fighter, set legacy, already wealthy from previous fights plus Mcdonald & Nike sponsorships, and like Pac said himself-he doesn't need Floyd.

If he fights Floyd and lose convincingly, that will ruin his rep and tarnish his legacy, so why take a risk? He's running for Congress, so that could be a good time to retire.
