How come boxing is more affordable then...

    ...Other martial arts???

For example I hear some boxing gyms only charge as LOW as 60 dollars a year ( I bull**** you not thats what I heard)

I ask because other martial arts charge like 120 bucks a month with contracts example would be: Kickboxing gyms, jujitsu gyms and mma gyms and some traditional martial arts places.

How do boxing coaches afford such a low prices????

because MMA is trendy right now and they want to capitilze on it. Also, MMA seems to attract middleclass/upper middleclass people who can afford higher rates. Most of the MMA gyms around here are in the nicer areas.

I have noticed that too, but the damn pricing doesnt stop with mma, tradtional places are expensive as HELL ( like karate, kunfu, taekwon do etc...)

Got to love how something wonderful like boxing is so financial friendly and yet one of the most effective martial arts.

Here in PR I have never seen a boxing gym where they charge you. At my gym all you need is some handwraps and your good to go. The trainers here just love teaching as many people as they can.

Supply and demand. MMA is the new thing that everyone is wanting to do so why not charge more. Also, I think you need more trainers for that. For years the Kronk gym was only 10 dollars a month and it wasn't because there was no demand. It was more because Steward wanted to get kids off the street, the gym used to be packed.

Martial Arts has always been a little more expensive then boxing, its probably based on your instructor and etc, btw how much is a membership to the wildcard gym?.... I think the price differences probably because martial arts has a ranking system. In boxing you go in, your learn, you stick with it or you don't, you're coaches are generally just guys who love to coach boxing, some may be really great at it and have won championships in the past, they probably charge more than a guy who hasn't won anything. In martial arts you're earning belts, so you have something to keep you hooked, and its easier to charge if your teacher is a 3rd degree blackbelt, than just some random guy who likes to teach martial arts...

I explained it sooooooo poorly... but i believe its the ranking system, it allows for higher billing.

because the coaches themselves hate mma gyms, so they want more money or else they are gnna bother
