Why are Hasegawa people talking like if it is a done deal?

Maybe they figured Montiel would sign the contract?

Screw that being afraid to travel to Japan crap. You want the money or not? All the great Mexican fighters from back in the day like Finito Lopez and the guy who just passed away (can't remember his name, and I am ashamed) all fought Asian fighters in their back yard.

Little Kameda been pimpin in Mexico too so thats good. it goes both ways.

It's all good to be international and you can make some bucks in Japan.

It's not like it's Haiti or something.

Exactly. Montiel and Arum are shook. Montiel can vacate the WBO strap if he wants to bad enough because it don't mean that much.

At the same time, this is probably the same reason we ain't seen Hasegawa in US soil. It goes both ways.
I also want to add that. Arum is in the midst of building up a mega-fight between Nonito - Montiel.

Hasegawa can definitely mess that super-fight up. In a Donaire - Montiel battle you'll be re-igniting the Pinoy-Mex rivalry. And most importantly, Arum promotes both fighters.

Most of Tomoki's fights have been in Mexico, if I'm not mistaken.

Koki has fought there a couple of times too.
