Alright so a friend of mine (a casual fan with a little bit of boxing knowledge) suggested we watch some quality fights together with a few beers.

So basically i'm looking for recommendations about which fights, but i have a few boxes to tick:

I'd prefer them to be modern fights, mid/late 80's is probably the earliest i'd go (unless there's some stellar examples).

They can be excellent either cause of their intensity and excitement, or because of how sweet the talent and skills are - to this extent a one sided beatdown isn't really what i'm after, but if you can suggest a brilliant display that brings excitement then go for it (probably early Tyson stuff?).

Strange, but i'd like them to be big events, good crowd, lots of noise etc. I'm trying to get my mate hooked and I think if the arena is empty or silent then it may take away a lot for him.

And finally, I want about 3 or 4 fights i think, so maybe a couple of 12 rounders and maybe a couple of shorter ones?

And if i can get them high quality thats a bonus

Been there dude, trying to get mates deep in the game, and yeah the atmosphere at fights help big time and a new fan aint gonna be arsed watching some black and white **** or dated fight.

Id go with some Young Tyson, u can pack a good few of these in as there so short but if u just gonna go for one id go with the Micheal Jack Johnson fight its brutal in a way ive never seen since!

Then u gotta show him some Gatti, best go with Ward 1 i think, also although not a War i like to watch the Millet fight

Trinidad vs Vargas and Mayorga always get their attention

Mosley vs Marg is a fight everyone can enjoy especially when u give them the back drop

If u wanna show him some skills **** on Floyd vs Gatti

He might enjoy a good honest HW scrap like Tua vs Ibeabuchi or a recent classic like Diaz vs Marquez

Another few quality quickies he'd like are Holt vs Torres 2 and Bundrage vs Powell
