Taylor isn't all that, he's still wet behind the ears... He's gonna lose to Hopkins. I'd be interested in seeing Hopkins -v- Wright though.

Mind you, we're treading over old ground again, because this will be ANOTHER fighter coming up in weight to face him.

He is one of the best inside fighters in the game, yet nobody gives him credit for that side of his ability. I just dont understand. Did these people start watching him fight right after he beat Trinidad and he recieved the mainstream exposure? One poster I saw....said he ran from Morrad Hakkar the entire fight. How is that possible...when the ref warned Hakkar that he would take a point off for not fighting.

Did these people miss his fights with Holmes, Echols, Roy Jones, and literally everyone else he faced before...or what?

          Anyone have any answers?
Hopkins was unreal in the Trinidad fight. I know it was one sided but Hopkins performance was so masterful it was great to watch. One of my personal favorite fights without a doubt.

i think so too.. his win over trinidad was more convincing than that of winky's, save for the KO of course. winky fought a boxer's fight for 12 rounds and he was masterful. however, hopkins fought a very well-rounded fight, boxer to slugger to boxer then to slugger again. he fought with his own style, then never wavered when he did trinidad's own style.

I think to many people are sleeping on Taylor. I believe this is Hopkins toughest test in his career. Honestly, is vanderpool, Dlh, or Trinidad a tougher fight, no. I think Taylor would easily Ko Dlh who moved up in weight and Trinidad would be eating Jabs all night, before going down. Taylor has fire is his belly and the power to put Hopkins down. i respect Hopkins but he will lose this fight u all will see.

This will tell if savvy, experience and guile can overcome brawn and enthusiasm. Personally, I think Bernard took it for the challenge. I believe there's something to what Roy always referred to. I also believe it's poor taste to then keep pointing to that when you lose.

Still far too many people think he is a pure boxer. Its really annoying.

Bernard outmsarted and outboxed De La Hoya when most thought Bernard would try to smash him. He surprised a few people in that one although many I'm sure felt he could do whatever he wanted to De La Hoya. But if you thought that, you thought that because you know Hopkins is a jack of all trades.

His demolition of Tito pretty much showed how complete of a fighter Hopkins is. His abuse of Joppy was just plain sickening. I didn't see his fights with Echols, but Echols was a BIG puncher in his prime and was a very good fighter, and Hopkins beat him at his own game.

Get his fights with Echols they are great great fights.

The bottom line is that Hopkins might not be the most exciting boxer all the time, but he is a WINNER. Isn't that what sports is all about WINNING. The guy has 20 straight defenses & even though the division is not the best over 10+ years & 20 defenses your are gonna fight good fighters. Everyone needs to stop hating & open their eyes or they're gonna miss the show. HOPKINS IS AN ALL TIME LEGEND & PEOPLE NEED TO SEE HIM & RESPECT HIM FOR THAT!!
