Ricky Hatton vs Ricardo Mayorga at 147

TS said that this is the 147 pound Ricky Hatton from the Collazo and Mayweather fights. I don't see that Hatton having any chance of winning a fight against a prime 147 Ricardo Mayorga.

The rounds Hatton looked like **** was the rounds he got outboxed. Collazo made him look like **** in the 5 rounds Collazo won, but Ricky won 7 of those rounds (or 6) by doing what he always does. He was cutting off the ring, going to the body, holding, and applying pressure. Hatton was good at that. In the Mayweather fight, he got outboxed and outfought...but it was Mayweather.

I can definitely see Mayorga in this fight, but I see him losing it. Mayorga's speed isn't that much better then Hatton's and he's not a smarter fighter then Hatton. He has the power advantage, which could win, but the time Hatton gets hurt it's due to speed imo. He took Tszyu's punches, who hits harder than anyone he's faced besides Pacquiao, great. They had power, but they didn't have the speed or the sneakiness that Mayweather's, Collazo's, or Pacquiao's had. Hatton would see Mayorga's punches coming and smother him.

Actually i cancel my previous answers, hatton could beat ricardo if he goes back to the nut punching, I've said it before, all hatton's great wins involved a huge punch straight to the testicles. 147 hatton didn't nut punch ... I miss Ricky - I can't remember what fight it was, hatton takes a low blow and when he comes back out, the ref starts shouting at him "don't retaliate ricky" .... good times

I like Hatton, but I'm glad this poll is one-sided. Mayorga would demolish Hatton at 147. A prime Mayorga had speed, power, granite chin, strong as a bull, haymakers from all different angles.. Hatton's chin would not be able to withstand Mayorga's punches.
