    Most of it Muscle.
Roy was 199 lbs against Ruiz and 185 lbs against Tarver I, so its really 14 lbs. He had 6 weeks to lose that, while Chris had 1.5 weeks to lose almost half of that.

dropping from LHW to SMW.. is not the same as dropping from 195 of pure muscle to 175lbs...

Roy was tired by round 4, he could barely move his legs.. and it wasnt because Tarver was giving him this constant barrage of pressure like Calzaghe or Glen Johnson.. they were boxing in the center of the ring... and then when Roy didnt have the stamina to circle, he just put his hands up and got hammered on...

You really dont believe dropping from LHW to SMW is the same what he did do you?

So Roy went to the weigh in and weighed 185lbs for a LHW fight?

Jones was only 193lbs against Ruiz, he had 18lbs to lose to get down to 175. welterweights lose more than that

Its comparable if you take into account the time frame. Roy had to lose 14 lbs of muscle in 6 weeks compared to Chris having to lose 6+lbs of muscle in 1.5 weeks.

Joe battered 7 shades into Jones. 1 more round and he would have been KO.

Shaking his ass, popping his head through your guard, all while punching you from every conceivable angle in front of 15000 people at MSG for 12 rounds is worse than a quick knockout.

Don't let your emotions get in the way of sound judgment.
Worse than a quick KO? How about a long prolonged beating followed by a one punch KO that leaves you on the canvas for 10 minutes? Don't let bias get in the way of sound judgement.

He got down to 185, then sweated down 10 lbs to make 175lbs

getting batterd by actual "punches" for 9 rounds then getting ko'd and smashing your head off the canvas only to wake up 10 minutes later, and i imagine his head must've been ringing a couple of days after

yea, getting slapped is definitely worse....

                    anyway
i think the tarver knockout ruined him, personally

People need to understand there is a difference between Fat, Water, and Muscle... and a difference in what it takes to lose each of those..
