His offensive footwork is excellent and he knows how to cut off the ring like no one. His guard is ok, it's just that his hands are very slow.
He has good body punching and good uppercuts too.
He also throws pretty decent combos.

IMO Margarito is a pretty complete pressure fighter, not an uncoordinated brawler.

I agree he's talented. You cant win world titles without having skill. Ppl on this board throw around the word bum or phrase "no skill" way too much.

He doesn't have underrated skills, he's garbage. To even consider Margarito as a qualified boxer with skills is bringing boxing down a new a low point.

He only got far because of his chin and the fact that he wore platers in his gloves. He's not talented in the slightest bit.

Its absolutely true and I respect a Cotto fan who can make a post like this.

On top of everything you mentioned Tony is very good at catching punches w/ his gloves (See paul williams fight) and rolling w/ shots.

So not all the shots you think are landing flush are actually landing flush.

Mayorga is excellent at this too.

Margarito learned boxing on the job and was fighting grown men at 15 years old.

Show some respect for a great champion and AT warrior.

You keep up that kind of talk and I'll consider taking you off my ignore list.
