    Margarito's underrated skills.

If we forget a minute about the plaster thing, if you watch Margarito's fights you can see that he has boxing skills. I don't understand when people say he has no skills at all. His offensive footwork is excellent and he knows how to cut off the ring like no one. His guard is ok, it's just that his hands are very slow.
He has good body punching and good uppercuts too.
He also throws pretty decent combos.

IMO Margarito is a pretty complete pressure fighter, not an uncoordinated brawler.

Margarito is a great fighter and ill play money to see him fight its just a lot of people like to downplay his performence because he destroyed there favorite fighter or because they don't like him because he's mexican

when mosley missed that huge uppercut, that ****er literally JUMPED to change his stance. he did that while his guard was down

that's not what i call skill. like merchart said, he eats shot like they were M&M's

he knows how to cut the ring, but he doesn't have good footwork. he literally jogs towards the opponent, that's why he gets hit so much

chin and stamina aren't skills. high amount of pressure is. those are his greatest assets

I'm just telling what i see, Margarito is good but i disagree with the bold part. Margarito is mexican but what's worng with mexicans? They provide a lot of brave and talented warriors like Barrera, Chavez or Salvador Sanchez. One of the most important nations in boxing.

The problem with Margarito is that he tried to use illegal substances in his handwraps before the Mosley fight. One must be a fool if he thinks Margarito didn't do it with the younger, undefeated and hungrier Cotto. Most of all against the guy who beat a Mosley who went life and death against a shot Mayorga.

He's boxing since he is a kid. I know amateur boxers with better technique after 3 years.

Great stamine, well someone who uses plaster, maybe uses epo, too.

His chin and stamina took him as far as he could, the wear and tear eventually will catch up. His technic or lack of was covered by the output of his punches

Plaster is heavy so that explains the slow hands
