I see alot of value in betting on Dirrell in this fight. In my eyes, Abraham is the most unproven betting favorite of any big fight betting line. He's listed as a 2-1 favorite against a guy who almost everyone living outside of Nottingham, England or whatever it's called, think beat Carl Froch by outboxing him easily. Abraham has few big name wins at middleweight(Gevor, Miranda), and at 168 the list consists of one man: a used and abused Jermain Taylor. I don't see how Abraham's style will give a cautious fighter like Dirrell problems. Dirrell is very fast for a guy at 168, and he can stay out of Abrahams short range power. I can see a long night for Abraham, particularly when you realize he will be fighting in the lion's den(Detroit). What do you guys think? To me, this fight screams to bet the underdog in Dirrell.

Absolutely. If AA doesnt KO Dirrell it means hes most likely spent the whole fight getting the **** beat out of him.

Dirrell has a 4 inch height and reach advantage he'll play it safe and beat him easy IMO. I like both guys so it sucks.

This thread starter read my mind! It's a great bet.

I didn't know Dirrell has a 4 inch height and reach advantage.

Dirrell is huge compared to Abraham.

remember, abraham is small for SMW. ****, he wasn't even tall for middleweight.

              Dirrell is LISTED at 6'2.

Jermain Taylor is LISTED at 6'1

              Abraham is LISTED at 5'10.

Here is Taylor and Abraham at the weigh in:

Dirrell is 1-2 inches taller than Taylor.

That's something Abraham has mastered before. He KTFO Miranda in his backyard. Abraham won't be intimidated by the crowd.

I agree with this statement, but I think the fight being in detroit is more of a reason to bet on dirrell because in the event of a close fight and it goes to the scorecards one should come to the conclusion that more than likely the hometown guy will get the nod.

So the only way I can see abraham winning is by knockout or if he just absolutely dominates ala hopkins vs pavlik style, which cannot possibly happen due to dirrell's skills, style, size & athleticism.

so again I think it's a very safe bet to go with dirrell
