So the only way I can see abraham winning is by knockout or if he just absolutely dominates ala hopkins vs pavlik style, which cannot possibly happen due to dirrell's skills, style, size & athleticism.

so again I think it's a very safe bet to go with dirrell
The way AA is winning this fight is by Dirrell being over-confident after 2-3 rounds and getting careless...this will give AA the chance to time him at the right moment, giving him the early stoppage...Dirrell doesn't look like somebody who has the nerves to outsmart AA over 12 rounds...

He's listed as a 2-1 favorite against a guy who almost everyone living outside of Nottingham, England or whatever it's called, think beat Carl Froch by outboxing him easily. Abraham has few big name wins at middleweight(Gevor, Miranda), and at 168 the list consists of one man: a used and abused Jermain Taylor. I don't see how Abraham's style will give a cautious fighter like Dirrell problems. Dirrell is very fast for a guy at 168, and he can stay out of Abrahams short range power. I can see a long night for Abraham, particularly when you realize he will be fighting in the lion's den(Detroit). What do you guys think? To me, this fight screams to bet the underdog in Dirrell.
i'm from the states and i thought froch won a close one against dirrell.

i thought taylor was going to give abraham problems so don't go by what i say. but i think with it being in detroit and dirrell being hyped up, and i believe andres back injure was a ploy, that the scales are tipped in andre dirrells trackmeet SD
      over a whineing abraham!

Dirrell has a 4 inch height and reach advantage he'll play it safe and beat him easy IMO. I like both guys so it sucks.
Agreed, Abraham winning a decision against someone who fights like Dirrell is highly unlikely. However, I expect Dirrell to do ****** things like he did against Froch and get laid out, because Abraham is capable of catching him at any moment.

Maybe. But if Froch was able to catch him, Abraham will hurt him.

Nothing to me indicates Dirrell is a careless fighter, or a big risk taker. If anything he is the opposite, and is too cautious, and too willing to get into a hugging contest at times. but in this fight I don't think it will hurt him to hold on the inside alot, since Abraham will only be a threat in close.

Thats my position on this fight, I think Dirrell has this in the bag as long as he plays Muhammad Ali against Abraham and keeps moving around using the jab-straight, jab-straight, straight-hook combos... Stylistically this will be a great match-up I think, and I cant wait to be there to see this in person! 18-1 vs 31-0, with Dirrells loss coming to Froch, who was also undefeated... 50 fights between the two of these guys, and 38 KO victorys combined, I look forward to a VERY interesting fight!
