you honestly didnt see any difference in terms of poise, ring generalship, footwork and boxing skills compared to what he showed in the maidana fight?
    seriously?

i guess you see what you wanna see. you already made up your mind
NO IT WAS NOT. the first knock down came while a punch WAS being thrown. you're flat out lying. the camera angle was so cheap that it was NO WAY to tell that they stepped on each other feet. and the commentators didn't mention one time that they were stepping on each others feet. and RIGHT after ortiz was knock down there was NO REPLAY to be found. NO. i seen no difference. he got hurt & reverted to his old ways. and ortiz went down by himself the 2nd time without ANY CONTACT. that came right after the 1st knockdown

I JUST DON'T SEE ANYTHING SPECIAL ABOUT ORTIZ. I even think that KHAN could beat him if he boxed him on the outside.

    I JUST DON'T SEE IT.

I may have some fooled around here but i am a HARDCORE BOXING FAN and i notice everything. to say that ortiz will beat nate using a jab is LAUGHABLE. in my opinion ortiz fights in spurts and isn't a consistent "jab" fighter. ortiz isn't even a boxer to me. he only fought the way he tried to fight tonight is because he was in there with a guy that didn't throw. as soon as a fighter lands on Ortiz chin, he RUNS back to the cave man style. you didn't notice when the guy knocked ortiz down and hurt him tonight how he went back to his caveman style for the remainder of the round? THATS WHAT ORTIZ DOES WHEN HE GETS HURT. he loses his head. ali funika has a LONG jab thats totally on another level from ortiz's. and it's consistent. and even he couldn't beat campell with his jab. ortiz will have his hands full with campell.
You might be a hardcore boxing fan, but you didn't notice ****. Your knockdown claims are ridiculous, especially the second one. Siggy pretty much explained why the 2 kd's you claim are ridiculous.

Ortiz does fight in spurts, but he consistently used foot movement and jabs until he felt comfortable enough to throw combinations.

The reason his opponent didn't want to throw is because he makes them not want to risk that chance often because of his speed and power. Maidana threw a 1000+ punches over 12 against Kotelnik, he threw 293 over 6 against Ortiz even though they were in a shootout. Why was that, if Victor was standing right in front of him when he wasn't punching? Because Ortiz' speed and power make them respect him.

He got hit cleanly a couple of times and didn't revert back to the "caveman style". When he felt Alatorre getting too brave, he wouldd throw a combo to get back his respect, but settle back down again.

He's not gonna beat Campbell with just a jab, but it's gonna be a key component to beating him. Ortiz with a consistent jab, his foot movement, stamina, defense, speed, power, better temperament, and combinations will beat Campbell when time comes.

I though you noticed everything hardcore fan? They were stepping on each others feet from the first round on and the commentators mentioned it a couple times.

The ref warned Alatorre for pushing down on Ortiz' neck right after he forced him to take his knee. No contact... Lol.

i call BS. we'll be able to get a better look tomorrow when they air the replay on fox sports. i hope you'll be recording cuz i know i will. i'll have this thread bookmarked too.
and yes fischer DID mention that they were stepping on each other's feet very early into the fight.

there was no legit knockdown. you're making sht up.
ortiz was in control the entire fight. not once was he buzzed and not once did he get outside himself.

if he fights with that same patience, he ko's grandpa mid to late rounds.
