    I gotta agree with this.
Way too long between fights. Obviously I still care. But interest goes away for the non hardcore boxing fan. There's just too much time in between fighters fighting people lose interest or forget.

I agree. I was very excited about the tournament untill Dirrell got robbed and Froch undeservingly got the points. I'm still excited but not as much as I was before.

I expected these kind of difficulties all along. They should have seen the Jermain Taylor thing coming, especially putting him with Arthur Abraham in the first round. When this many fighters are planning this far ahead, it just doesn't work. I won't be surprised if the tournament doesn't finish or has to finish earlier than originally planned.

Apparently the original plan was to have AA-Dirrell in January and the other fights in the first week of March. It's a shame Showtime/the fighters didn't stick to that as it's lost a bit of momentum due to this 3 month break inbetween fights.

I know Im getting more interested in it. We're pretty much watching history, I have a feeling the best matches are this next round. Obviously ward and and AA are top contenders, while dirrel and froch still have alot to prove. These next bouts are key. How often do we see tournament like this occur, we should live it while we still can.

HBO are some greedy ****s. They're looking at the "right now" money. If they worked with Showtime to bring the sport back into the forefront, and gain some popularity it would give more viewership in the long run. They don't give a **** about boxing, just that there network kills Showtime on those nights.

                  Deserves better?

I don't think so...because first of all, this is not a TRUE "Super" Six...this is more like a "Best Of The Bs" tourney....

I mean Hell...it's at Super Middleweight...that says it all.

As of right now, the best guy in the division (Ward) is only a B+ fighter...and believe me...once he's through winning that ****, he's not gonna stay in that HISTORICALLY LACKING division...

He won't be satisfied with being King of The Commoners like Ottke and Calzaghe were...

i did'nt like the format period. it should've been 8 fighters and a double elimination tourney with at the end somebody would have all belts that were involved. but i do like some of the fighters.

Everyone just needs to get over this counter programming crap. My God, the NFL, effectively only has 2 slots where 90% of their games are played in. Football is way more popular than boxing. Do football fans whine that all 16 NFL games should be spread out over 16 different time slots so they can watch all of them? No. Deal with it. Get a DVR and record the other one and watch it after. This argument people have about overlapping fights is leftover from the days before DVR's. Watching one thing while recording something else is very easy to do now. It just doesn't hold water anymore.

And why doesn't anyone whine when Shobox overlaps with ESPN on Friday nights? OH MY GOD, the horror. What is Showtime doing. Are they counterprogramming ESPN? ESPN owns Friday nights, don't they?

And if you are going to say HBO knew what it was doing with putting their April 17th date against the tournament, then, you need to make the same argument back at Showtime. Adamek-Arreola was already set when Showtime moved the Super 6 date to the 24th. So, why isn't anyone up in arms about that?

Personally I love it when there are multiple fights on the same night. I'd much rather watch 4 fights than 1 or 2.
