Who cares about HGH. Even Conte suggests that HGH use for boxing doesn't really benefit the boxer, the way it would American football players, shot putters, etc... Conte also added that, he thinks it's EPO that benefits the boxers moreso than the other PEDS.

If y'all have been following boxing news, a string of fighters caught for PEDs are usually caught for drugs that gives 'em more of a boost of energy to get that late kick for the championship rounds.

given the purported benefits of HGH it would benefit boxers greatly....especially boxers moving up......

HGH is supposed to facilitate lean muscle gain, increase bone density etc etc.......it's effects on athletic performance are as yet relatively unknown...but given it's stated benefits how could it not help performance........???

HGH is an athletes dream........unless they are unlucky enough to have blood drawn the day the take it they are in the clear.......such is the clearance time of HGH.......

I believe this is true but its for the commision to implement not mayweather.

If this is what mayweather wants, "to clean the sports" he could have brought up this issue before his comeback fight against marquez.

If mayweather is a true fighter and wants to humiliate pac, he should have taken random testing alone and let pac take the NSAC tests and go on with the fight.

In that way, there will be no question about his motive.

If the commision implements and a boxer didnt comply, i will believe he's on something.

I think its a serious issue and must be studied well. These tests must be for EVERY boxers safety and not for certain individuals who only uses for his own protection.

so you are both for randomised testing but against Pac submiting to random blood testing???

Does it matter what Mayweathers motives were when he asked???

The question you should really be asking is why did Manny refuse???

All of his excuses and reasoning not to agree to it have been debunked and continue to be (lets not get into too much detail here)......he has just been tested 20 days out for his physical with clottey and he did not stop training for 3 days because he was "blood drained"....

None of Pacs excuses not to comply are good enough in my view.....if he is not hiding anything he has very needlessly tarnished his own reputation.......

it goes for manny as well so you failed on your assumptions on me. Im for random blood testing if its for the sports and all of them will benefit from it.

Manny have all the rights to refuse any tests that is not given by the commision. Its mayweathers demands not the NSAC.

Coz your view is clouded by weathers accusations. Why dont he ask for random bloodtesting for other fights including their undercards, why only his recent fights?

I know you're not dumb. this is not olympics, this is professional boxing. if the commision says proboxing needs this kinds of tests, then no way pac or any fighter will be excused from those tests. but as long as only Mayweather makes those demands its UNOFFICIAL. and if you dont know what unofficial means, you prove me wrong about you not being dumb.

The stakeholders in boxing have a clear conflict of interest with regard to this issue....it is not in their best interest to vigourously pursue cheaters...........

They have random testing in amatuer (olympic) boxing......why not in pro boxing???

I'm not worried about the fact this is the firast time Mayweather has asked for this......there is a first time for everything.....and whilst it may be unfair to single out Pac the way he has i find Pacs complete refusal on this issue more disturbing than Floyds actions and quite frankly if he is clean it is perplexing why he wouldn't just agree.....this would have been a non-issue......

One of the effects of HGH is tougher skin and stronger tendons. Clearly no benefit to boxers there LOL.
A cheater may not just use one drug in his training, he will most likely use different drugs for different effects and results at different points in his training. The fighter is more likely to be tested close to the fight when booster drugs will be of benefit in the fight so it is no surprise that those drugs will show up then. Steroids and HGH are more useful in the building up period. So if you used them well in advance of a fight but came off them they may not be in the system come fight time but you would still cary some of the gains.
