The other part of me thinks he will become overwhelmed by Pacquiao's activity. However, he did take a 1000 + (compubox record) punches (plaster?) from Margarito and don't recall ever seeing him hurt in that fight. Judah, a southpaw with similar speed and power to Pacquiao, had almost all of punches picked off but then again he doesn't bring the same array of punches and activity as Pacquiao. Clottey will also be the biggest man Pacquiao has ever been in the ring with.

I got to put some more thought into this one before reaching a definite prediction...
I think so I have never seen Joshua dominated in a fight and I don't think Manny is expecting a war so the longer Clottey stays in the fight the better his chance is. That being said I could see the judges robbing him again

I believe stamina to be an issue with Clottey. He could have beaten Cotto if he fought the last few rounds with the same vigour as he fought the first half of the fight. The problem with fighting Pacquiao is that he can go 12 rounds at full intensity. I don't believe Clottey can keep up with the pace of Pacquiao.

However, Pacquiao was the underdog vs De La Hoya, Hatton (mixed opinion rather than underdog), and Cotto. Clottey seems to have been written off quite early, but he is the most able boxer out of the previously mentioned to beat Pacquiao. He has a good defence, can soak up punishment, and can punch in combinations. Clottey will be a force for much of the fight.

Pacquiao is the favourite no doubt, but Clottey isn't a mere dancing partner. I have a feeling that he will be Pacquaio's welterweight Marquez.

Clottey has a very good jab, that's the key to beating Pacman!!If Clottey pumps that jab out with authority, while coming forward behind that high guard & forcing Manny to fight backward,he can win!!Clottey believe it or not is a pressure fighter,he comes forward using his big body!!He's rough,he has a good jab,if Clottey wrestles Pacman a little while keeping those hands up & jabs & hooks himself to the inside,Pacman may get uncomfortable, not good for him!!

Im a Pac fan but I know Clottey will win. He is just too big and strong for Pac and I think Pac's punches wont hurt him. He's as tough as steel.

If Pac starts to believe his own press and underestimates Clottey, even a little bit, doesn't train quite to his usual standard, looks past him to PBF or Mosely, he might very well get beat.

This is Clottey's big chance. If he can pull the upset here, he'll become huge overnight. No more 10% splits. No more gettin' overlooked in the P4P rankings.
I gotta' believe he's gonna' be waaaaay motivated. He's big and tough and strong and has very good defense. Seems like he tends to gas after 7 rounds or so, but I gotta' think he'll be in the best shape of his career for this one.

How does it occur? Gameplan? I dunno'...he should try to get some bodywork in early. He should make it a little rough and dirty and clinch alot and lay his weight across Pac's back. Use his height and weight. If he's able to make Pac gas before he does, he might be able to get some kind of stoppage, which is the most likely way he'll win,imo...

            Good luck to both.

Listen he can win.....the issue is his activity....because it will be very hard for him to win a decision unless he clearly wins. For some reason judges seem to like it when a fighter hits another guys gloves.....

Clottey has show in the past against southpaws like Judah that he is willing to throw the str8 right and he even led with it on numerous occasions against Judah....he needs to be intelligent and catch Pac coming in.....much better to catch him coming in than cover up and try to catch him on the way out......

He must commit to throwing the right hand effectively......and then following with his left......he needs to set traps for left hooks to the body aswell......

cut the ring off....and tee off when/if many lays on the ropes....and i mean tee off big time.....he needs to cut and hurt manny....when the ref is blindsided headbutt, hit him on the lower hip/leg to mess that sore leg up.........clottey needs to turn this in to an intelligent streetfight if there is such a thing......
