    Grant Boxing Gloves

I've noticied during the past couple of years that alot of championship fights most noticeably in middle-lightweight divisions the use of colorful Grant boxing gloves. These gloves are very visually appealing and look much different than any other boxing glove I've have seen.

IMO the use of these odd colored boxing gloves is a refreshing change to the normal red Reyes and Everlast boxing gloves. The two and three color gloves remind me of when Foreman and Frasier fought and used similiar'red and purple' and 'yellow and green'gloves. I think Grant company saw some promise in this idea and designed its own line of boxing gloves to look similiar to these.

So, what do you guys think? As spectators of the sport do you prefer the standard red and/or black or the crazy color schemes of Grant. Or do you guys not care about what the ****** boxing gloves look like? Also, I would like to see Tyson fight in a pair of these gloves.

Grant gloves are comparable to having goose-down pillows strapped to your fists, they are way too wide and were designed for defense moreso than for offense, Reyes gloves are still built for power punchers, they are more sleek and can cut thru the guard easier than Grant's....YES, Grant's do look better than Reyes or Everlast or Winning brand gloves, but I'd rather see KO's than flashy gloves

Good point SacTown, I have also noticied that the Grant boxing gloves do look bulky like the old everlast gloves of Holmes and Tyson eras. Also, Everlast gloves are starting to look more and more like the Reyes gloves in that they are sleeker and less bulky.

good point on the Everlast design, you're right, they are looking more & more like the Reyes style....plus Everlast is getting into different colored gloves (I've seen gold & white in recent fights) so they're making a big push....

honestly though I think any fighter should be able to choose any glove for any fight, as long as it's one of the big 4 manufacturers....

Wasn't Holyfield-Lewis 1 the 1st title fight with opponents wearing different brands (Holy with Grant, Lennox with Reyes)???
