I agree, I think they realized this joke of a fight wouldn't sell in Sydney.

Siaca's last fight was at 160. I don't think it's overstating it to say that there are about 100 boxers from MW to CW that are better than him and would've posed a bigger threat to Green.

Not that I think boxrec's ranking system is all that reliable, but they rate him as the 56th best middleweight in the world.

I've checked out a few Australian boxing forums and most are pretty disgusted with Green's choice of opponent.
