Oscar- Sturm...many thought Oscar lost that fight.
Even he knew he lost that fight.
another example is Williams/Quintana 1. The Williams camp overlooked Clottey to face Quintana who was one fight removed from a beatdown at the hands of Miguel Cotto.

he hadn't lost a fight in 3 years and was coming off of wins over trevor berbick and oliver mccall.
He was top ten at that time? I didnt know that, I do remember the original opponent for Tokyo was supposed to be Razor Ruddock, not sure what happened there.
EdIT: im sure he was seen as a bit of a soft touch or is that a case of historical revision?
Prescott vs Khan is a good find, Khan was meant to whoop his ass like he was just another stepping stone however all that leaded to a whole different story with one of the most brutal knockouts in british boxing for years!

I think it was Khans trainer who recommended Brescott, he was fired after that fight. I wonder why, lol
I'm talking about when Williams first defended the title he got from Margarito. According to Clottey's manager, they reached out to the Williams's camp for a shot, but they ignored and went for Quintana. The Williams camp never denied this.
