Guzman's chop-type punch technique sucks, and I think any world class fighter can beat him.

He is good.

The problem though is I'm not so sure if he is still as good as he once was.

If you look at his last two fights, he didn't seem quite as fast or didn't quite have the cat-like reflexes that he did against Soto and Barrios.

On the other-hand, that could have to do with the simple fact Funeka is a beast, is absolutely HUGE for the division he's in and stylistically, is a very, very bad opponent for Guzman.

100% Agree... on the second part, Funeka is a bad opponent for anybody in 135 and 140, not only for Guzman....

I hope he wins.. I love Guzman, but i think he has wasted his prime years and his talent..
He has the best skillset second to mayweather.. Yes, second to mayweather, but his fat, lazy, pudgy ass doesnt stay in shape and hes just rotting.. I think hell win this time around.

Well, I hope Guzman and Beard can do what needs to be done with the little time they have. And I hope it's true that Beard is being really tough on him. I just hope that they didn't get together just a little too late.

Also, Guzman needs to be sparring with some 7'feet dudes up there man so when he fights Funeka it won't seem that bad.

All I'm saying is that he needs to come in top shape if he wants to be competetive....stick and move...stick and move!!!

Certainly talent wise,natural talent wise Guzman is up there.

His lack of dedication and inactivity made him not become aan all time great.
