I think because people know Cotto would beat Hatton...badly.

It's a bad style match up for Hatton who isn't as crafty as Cotto is in the ring, and isn't as patient, nor does he hit as hard at 147. Also, Cotto's body work is levels above Hatton's along with having a stiff jab that plays into Hatton's rush-in style.

I think it's safe to say Hatton vs Cotto might never happen...for Hatton's sake.
