something people dont understand is, that if you take PEDS, they will stay in your blood system for atleast 3 months, no matter what kind you take!! do the research, and manny agreed to give blood 24 days before the fight, and right after the fight, so no matter what, if he took PEDS, they would've showed up. its obvious that floyd mayweather is ducking the pacman with these outrageous demands
the most uneducated comment i have ever read on here.....even the most ardent pac supporters wouldn't post something that blatantly wrong on here........all in your first post aswell....well done!!!Comment

Exactly, the lies and spin around Roach have undermined his credibility. The more he talks the more he comes over as a jerk and this is coming from someone that used to like and respect him. I wish he would shut up and just stick to training.Comment

That's not how Pac sees it. He said that people he knew were starting to ask him whether it was really true that he was on steroids, and that was when he decided it had all gone too far.
Judging from the press stories I read - or at least, those that were not written by Mayweather fans - almost all see it as "a plague on both your houses":
1) They see it as one boxer (Floyd) making wholly unreasonable demands, given that he was asking for a testing regime that no boxer had ever been asked to comply with before; given that Pacquiao had been willing to meet him part way; given that the majority of drugs experts think that the regime that Pac agreed to was sufficient to catch any PED use; given that Floyd had never asked any other fighter in the past to comply with such a regime; given that Floyd's promoter, who was backing him up, had refused a similar request when it was made by Judah for the proposed fight with Mosley, on the grounds that it was wrong to single out a single fighter; given that the negotiations were being held against the background of completely unsubstantiated allegations of cheating; and given that Mayweather is hardly known for having the highest standards of integrity himself, especially after coming in at 147 in his last fight after agreeing to come in no higher than 144.
2) But they also see it as another boxer (Pacquiao) killing a mega-fight that boxing needs, for the sake of a demand that while being unreasonable, should not have been allowed to be a deal breaker.
In other words, they blame both fighters.
Time wasn't the issue. If Mayweather had retracted all of his and his team's actual and implied allegations of cheating, apologised for them, and said this was not about thinking Pacquiao was a cheat, it was purely about raising standards, he'd have got his 14 day cut-off.
I agree with that sentence.Last edited by Dave Rado; 02-23-2010, 07:49 AM.Comment

Maywether-Mosley is obviously a bigger fight than Pac-Clottey because Mosley is regarded by many as the #1 Welterweight, and Clottey is coming off a loss to someone Pac has already beaten.
Pac-Mosley would also outsell Mayweather-Clottey. So what? That doesn't prove anything about whether Pac or Mayweather is the bigger draw. That's bull****.Last edited by Dave Rado; 02-23-2010, 07:30 AM.Comment
