Talk is cheap when the fight is not going to happen. When Roach thought it was going to happen he sang a different tune."We need 10 weeks to prepare for Mayweather. "8 weeks is not enough time." "March is too soon". "Mayweather is Manny's toughest challenge". What Roach says now about a fight that probably wont happen means nothing. They had an opportunity and passed on it. Roach also said that Mayweather would never fight Mosley. At times Roach can be funny but he can't be taken seriously most of the time. And if Pacquiao wanted the fight as bad as he claims he would have taken the same test Mayweather was going to take. But now he wants Mayweather badly? Not buying it Manny.

please- I'm an individual. And I don't need others to think for me or to judge me.

You know nothing about me.. This is a boxing discussion and you claim I'm not a true filipino because I don't think Pacquiao is Mr.Perfect? How about you get a life. You don't know what I'm willing to do for my country. You don't know if i'm willing to die or what i'm willing to dedicate. Keep your condemnations to yourself.

If Hitler was filipino, guess what.. I would say the same thing. I wouldn't suck his **** and pretend what he was doing was alright.

Patriotism and pride is one thing, but you have to be intelligent enough to know when to draw the line- a skill I don't think you can claim to have.

Depends how much he wants the fight. If he wants the fight as badly as he says he does, he'll do what it takes to make the fight happen. That would also allow him to silence all the doubters, especially if he wins, so it's a win-win.

I'm not defending Mayweather, but you can't defend Pac either for saying how much he wants the fight. If he really wants it badly enough, he'd do whatever it takes to make it happen, including taking silly tests that he doesn't believe are right.

              • If he wanted to fight Mayweather as badly as Roach "says", he'd do anything, which obviously he is not, making any reports they say about fighting Mayweather false.

Because the negotiations were based on an unfounded accusation and character smear, and on the pretence that people are guilty until proved innocent.

If it had really been about simply raising standards in boxing, as he pretended, then he would not have made those completely unfounded public accusations.

And if he didn't know that making those accusations would kill the fight, then he is a lot dumber than I believe him to be. Pacquiao has always been willing to kill a fight if he feels he's being disrespected in the negotiations - and especially if he feels the Filipino people are being disrespected. He was willing to kill the Hatton fight over purse share because he thought he was being disrespected. The same with the De La Hoya fight. The moment Floyd started making those accusations and making demands based on those accusations, I knew the fight was about to be killed. If Floyd didn't know that, then he's a fool.

He could have got his 14 day cut-off if he'd conducted the negotiations differently.

Floyd recently said he won't accept any cut-off date at all any more, and that he won't accept 50/50 any more either.

Or were you referring to Floyd when you said that?

It was 24 days before the fight, and Pac offered to take random tests up to 24 days before the fight, and a blood test immediately following the fight, and random urine tests up to the day of the fight - but Floyd turned it down. And Floyd's 14 offer wasn't made until the negotiations had already broken down, by which time Pacquiao was too angry about having his character assassinated to be willing to compromise any further.
