How much better would Pacquiao be if he had an amateur career?

Just a thought based on another thread. It's been well-documented that Pacquiao never had the luxury of an amateur career like most of his counterparts. When many of his opponents were learning their craft in the amateur ranks, Pacquiao began fighting professionally at only 16 years old. Love him or hate him, the mans a great fighter and great for the sport. Pacquiaos learned a great deal from Roach but I believe he might have been even better and sooner if he had an amateur career. Any thoughts minus flaming?

Well, he definitely would have developed that right hook a lot earlier, as well as other techniques. Who knows what that would have done, maybe he would still be undefeated.

All I know is that Mayweather should have fought him March 13, because the Clottey fight will make Pac that much better than he already is. I smell a sht storm a brewin...

True. Fighting professionally early does make you learn faster.

pac didnt have the opportunity to learn from experience. every fight he did was for survival. what were seeing from pac is pure instinct, pac is a born fighter, not boxer.

How did Pacquiao duck Margarito ? Williams ? He allready fought Cotto who is a top 3 welterweight and is fighting clottey who is top 5, he might fight the winner out of the mayweather mosley fight depending on the outcome whether mayweather wins i dont see the fight happening but mosley will accept it and i think that would be a more entertaining fight.
