Even if these allegations aren't true, all I hear about on the street in the recent weeks is how steroids are ruining boxing's clean image. I have to look no further than Manny Pacquiao to blame for that misfortune. Regardless of if allegations are true or not, Pac had an easy chance to propel this sport forwards, instead he took it back to the ice age.

Whenever 1 of the sports biggest stars refuses to take random drug test serious questions arise.

I think here is where the problem lies. I don't believe Pacquiao/Roach refuse to take random drug tests. They just refuse to have Mayweather stipulate the terms of these tests. They want the proper authorities to make these rules, not their opponents.

I mean, for example, they were prepared to go to 30 days before and a test immediately after the fight. In the hypothetical case that Pacquiao was doing PEDs, that gives a window of, what, a week or two at best to get away with it - and then it's still risking a failure in the post-fight test. Just Floyd wanted it on his terms, and it became less about PEDs and more one fighter imposing his will on another - pride and principle stepped in, and they refused. However, Mayweather won the message war, and everybody lost out on the fight - for now.

Your absolutely right, by Mayweather publicly stating that boxing testing is a joke then accusing the biggest name in the sport may be using and that the official testing system isn't catching him, he has single handedly brought all testing in boxing into question by the mainstream. Thanks Floyd.
