Y'all posters are flat out crazy if u think Clottey don't have a chance at beating Pacquiao. Pac's fall from grace is coming in March and his KOOL AID drinking followers will soon follow. This is boxing and to say another fighter don't have a chance is just plain ******. I can list countless upsets but I won't because this fight in my book won't be an upset when Clottey wins. Clottey is going to beat Pac and he is going to bust him up in the process. Manny's flaws haven't gone away they are still there to be exploited. Clottey will make Pac eat straight rights all night. Clottey uses his jab so Manny will be knocked off of his rhythm. Clottey uses his defense and keeps it tight. If Roach and Pac choice to switch to a more traditional stance then Pac will be beat worse. I can't wait. This is going to be just like when I came back to work after the Trinidad vs Hopkins fight. The Puerto Ricans in the office were acting like it was the end of the world or something. So celebrate the few days u have left for the great Pacquaio because after March it's going to seem like the end of the world again for some fans.
Clottey Actually Likes Southpaws

Now here's the difference I will offer....Clottey is a lot smarter than Cotto, Hatton, or ODLH. They fought Pac ******, Clottey will fight him smart. Now if stamina or fading is an issue as you mentioned then he can lose, but I know he has the intelligence to make some sh-t happen in his favor.Really?... Do you really need me to explain... Okay
1. Clottey's work rate is the first issue i'd like to point out. he's not busy enough to have a chance at winning rounds and accurate punching will not make up for that
2. Fading - I've never been sure if Clottey actually has a stamina problem or he just fades in fights. It appears that he fades though. He gives away the last say 3-4 rounds to his opponents for some wierd reason seeing that I dont think Stamina is the issue it probably a mental thing
3. Power - Some might say that Clottey has a punchers chance but actually he doesn't... He has a 51% Ko percentage over his career with the majority of them coming early on. And when was the last time he KO'd a top opponent with a proven chin like Pacquiao?.... Never
4. Speed - the saying speed kills will define this fight. Not just because Pacquiao possesses so much of it, but because Clottey possesses none of it... He has the foot speed of a snail and the hand speed of a paraplegic
5. Weight - Clottey complained about making the 147 limit after the Cotto fight, stated that he strugged to get there and contemplated moving to 154, I believe that he even had a fight possibly lined up at 154 a couple months ago if i'm not mistaken. Of course he wouldnt turn down this fight but he'll struggle making weight again I can only assumeComment

I disagree if he was smarter than Cotto then he would have realized he wasn't doing enough in the later rounds to win the fight, and it ended up costing him the victory over Cotto. Now here's the difference I will offer....Clottey is a lot smarter than Cotto, Hatton, or ODLH. I think he will fight the exact same way he fights in every fight, gloves up, not throwing enough punches and leading with his head.Comment

U think Clottey is smarter???... Man I just ethered ur thread with the truth an cold hard facts and your response is a flawed opinion of yours that Clottey is a smarter fighter then Oscar De la Hoya and Miguel Cotto?... Where was this ring IQ when he's giving away rounds... what the intelligence of him laying on the ropes letting Cotto pound away and rack up rounds... I have never heard someone refer to Clottey as a superior intelligent fighter lolNow here's the difference I will offer....Clottey is a lot smarter than Cotto, Hatton, or ODLH. You're either a Manny Pacquiao fan trying to sell this fight trying to make it look like Manny is actually facing a challenge and it's worth buying
Or
You're a delusional Joshua Clottey fan

Not everybody think he lost that fight. An argument can be made that popularity was the difference in who won and lost. Despite his fight with Cotto, he will fight Pac in a much smarter way than any of Pac's previous 3 opponents.I disagree if he was smarter than Cotto then he would have realized he wasn't doing enough in the later rounds to win the fight, and it ended up costing him the victory over Cotto.

Maybe I've seen Clottey fight southpaws and he goes about it in an intelligent way. Can't that be enough, does there have to be anything more to it?U think Clottey is smarter???... He lay on the ropes and stayed in the corner and let Cotto pound away at him, Cotto's punches might not of hurt him but they were landing, I gave the first round 10-8 to Cotto as did many others, the knockdown IMO was the difference in the fight, not popularity.Comment

Yes there has to be more to it... what the hell kinda argument is that? lmao... Tell me what southpaws your talking about?... I'm about to really ETHER you

Didn't Manny and Roach go on record recently saying that they thought Clottey should of won that fight? Yeah I know they are promoting their fight with Clottey, but they speaking the truth. There are many people who think Clottey got robbed that night, I'm one of them.Comment
