GBP deserve to take alot of the blame aswel as Khan.

i'm certain Khan would fancy his chances against Maidanna but unfortunatly GBP and Khan management have stepped in.

Maidanna needs to take some blame to, if he really wanted a shot he could have enforced it, he wasnt forced to do anything. I'm certain that fight will happen though.

Amir would kill that one-dimensional slugger.
I agree, i think and hope Khan would beat Maidana, cos then he will and you'd have to agree need to start fighting on the world class stage, against prime contenders... Agreed?

That has to be the primary worry, otherwise why were Team Khan so eager to fight Salita, and not Maidana???

I agree with all 3 points, but at the end of the day, Khan as champion and i'm sure 'boss' of Team Khan should have said 'no hold on a minute, i can beat this Miadana, let me have him', no?

Well if he isn't gonna fight his mandatory, he should be made to vacate his belt, which has happened probably every other time in history.

But aside form that, as champion, maybe go for the other champions in that division, and i'm talking 140, not asking someone to move up to 140 to meet him, how about Urango, Peterson, hell even Kendall Holt. All in their 20's and are genuine 140lb'ers.

he will fight the likes of Alexander and Bradley by the end of this year if not early next year. he said numerous times he wants to unify the division.

Well good luck to him, but you have to admit he would be getting a hell of a lot more respect right now, if he had just simply fought the guy that the WBA had as his mandatory.....

Not because of the possibillity of Amir losing but because of the possibillity the fight won't sell **** and therefore GBP will be left with a burden of $1 million dollar for Amir's salary.

I think GBP are playing it safe with Amir. Thats why they paid Maidana off for 3 fights. Not because they want Maidana to lose but because they still don't know for sure if they can afford Amir's 1 million dollar per fight salary. That's why they signed a 3 fight deal with Maidana so that if Amir doesn't sell good in the U.S. they can sign a new contract that gaurantees Amir a lesser amount of money for his fights.

                  THE TRUTH

LOL. Do you do any research?? The one million comes from HBO's license fee. The Maidana fight would be FAR EASIER to make because Maidana would come at a FAR CHEAPER price than Malignaggi. Did you think Golden Boy is paying the one million from their pockets....LOL! The Malignaggi fight is in trouble because HBO is not willing to pay enough where the license fee pays all of the parties involved and Golden Boy refuses to dig in their own pockets....LOL

Well Maidana does care about money, otherwise he wouldn't sign the deal with Golden Boy Promotions where he would have a couple of HBO dates and an opportunity to make money on these dates.
If Maidana didn't care about the money, he would force the Amir Khan fight to happen regardless of how much money he would get.
