154 for a title shot against Oscar, who was training with
Pacquiao's beloved trainer Freddie Roach and he even sparred
with Mosley. Picked the gloves, ring and Oscar still lost. That
Oscar that came in the ring to fight Manny was no where
near the Oscar that fought Floyd. Hatton and Floyd SR
had mega beef during training and clearly Hatton wasn't the
man he was before Floyd. That loss to Floyd haunted him.
Not making excuses but them fighters were picked for Pac
because they were sure wins. I thought Oscar/Hatton would
be big enough to manhandle Manny but clearly that wasn't
the case. Bottomline is Floyd was dominating the sport before
Pac could even fight with his right hand. To say Manny has
accomplished more in the sport than Floyd is false to me
considering that Floyd retired and the title went to Manny.
Pac didn't beat Floyd. Pac has/is avoiding Floyd and Mosley
and those are FACTS.

You missed my point. I'm not using the "leftover" argument. Not at all. I never even said that. I'm speaking on the conditions heading into a fight, i e what is at stake for a particular fight. Those things can not be overlooked. But they tend to get overlooked because people have agendas.
So Floyd beat an undefeated Hatton, in TKO fashion. Then Pac beats him a year later in KO fashion. When you look at this clearly, it is a great win for BOTH fighters. Floyd took his 0 and Hatton moved up to challenge for Floyd's title. Pac moved up and KO'd Hatton and took his title. BOTH wins are different and has their own story, but at the end of the day BOTH Floyd and Pac have stunning victories over the same guy in title fights. You can't honestly knock one of them and praise the other.Last edited by V.WEBB; 02-22-2010, 11:36 AM.
