You guys like to flame a lot without realizing or taking the time to ivestigate the true story behind everything. Shawn Porter learned more in that 10 rounds with the cagey Russell Jordan than he learned in his 12 fights previous or any Pacquiao sparring session. That fight will do huge improvements to Porter's career in the long run.

Guys are falling out over Omar Henry at this point. When Omar Henry steps up his level of competition the comparison will make more sense. But right now Henry is fighting the same level of comp that Porter did in his first 5 or 6 fights which will make them all look like killers.

I wasn't impressed by Porter at all, maybe it wasn't his best night, but I'm not really sure what all the hype was about. Granted the guy is still young and learning the ropes I really didn't see any kind of gift or signs of a star in the making, nothing he did showed any of that, all I saw was a young fighter who is learning on the job.

His chin was put into question too, that lanky ass dude had him on ***** street in a couple of ocassions. Porter was too predictable and lunged too much, didn't go to the body against a much taller opponent and he's gonna have a lot of trouble against taller guys at 154, he's bulky but he is short as hell, ****y too, didn't even turn his back to congratulate the other dude after the fight.

Omar Henry is more of a killer in my eyes and can punch better than Porter can from the little I've seen of both.

dumbasses talk down porter but dont realise how experienced jordan was, how big he was, or who he has fought(sergio martinez and luis callazo)
dumbasses dont realise that on omar's first step up(against a guy 5-9 who's fought no one) gave henry all he could handle and even staggered him
dumbasses will look at henry's debut and the 2 fights following that and see, wow, these guys got shutdown, im sure he'd do the same to porter
dumbasses fail to realise your first couple of fights your suppossed to win by first round ko, your suppossed to completely shut out yoru opponents, because the opponents suck ass
dumbasses fail to realise this, cuz dumbasses will be dumbasses

Okey I got Shawn if ever he and Omar fights, who wants to bet?

I think this is a good match-up for two upcoming fighters and both guys will be tested, but I doubt their managers will pit these two guys this early...

No chance this fight happens anytime soon, it will be a nice scrap if it does happen down the line.

What have you really seen? You have seen clips of Henry fighting bums on youtube in his first few fights. I could show you the same clips of Porter in his first few fights. When Porter was walking around at 6-0 (6 KO's) he was being talked about as having bricks in his fist. Kind of like Henry now. You really need to compare apples to apples to make an intelligent comparison.

                    Good post.

I posted something similar on the first page. These guys are ridiculous, Henry has only faced 2 opponents with winning records and they were each 2-1. But you still keep reading "Henry would _______ Porter". Ridiculous.

Just like when I told Porter and everyone else that he wouldn't be ready for Kirkland if they fought a couple months back.

Porter is a quality fighter who was matched against very bad match up stylistically but still won comfortably imo, hell even Mayweather has been knocked out of his rhythm by a fighter like Sosa, plus Porter had his right foot squared up a little when Jordan landed its not like he was badly shaken.
