It's amazing how Kali Meehan is inactive for a year and a half, and then get's into an eliminator!
Why not Solis, Boytsov and several other younger, more deserving HWs?
The WBA is the worst santioning organization.

I see you're Canadian; why do i see you post most of the time about European boxers?

Why do some Australian posters (for example Dan..., Counter right) post mostly about American boxers?
I'm a fan of Lucian Bute and I like David Lemieux, but there are no world-class boxers in English Canada, except perhaps for Troy Ross (I can't stand Steve Molitor) and boxing has a low profile here in British Columbia.
So it has something to do with the fact that there are few good boxers in Canada, and many good fighters in Europe.Comment

Maybe it's because Meehan has been sidestepped for a year and a half.
I'm not saying he is necessarily deserving, but you can't just put a guy up as number one, and supposedly mandatory, and then give him a runaround like the one the WBA has given him, just because the big promoters have other ideas.
As to Solis and Boytsov, they are talents, but maybe they should start stepping up to face som top guys to prove themselves. And lets see how Solis handles Drumond first...Comment

Chagaev knows how to chose his tune up fights...a 40 year old Australian that has been inactive for a year and half...lol
none of these guys deserve a title shot against the Haye vs Ruiz winner...well guess it's another sign of the decline of the HW divisionComment

Give the WBA credit. Atleast they didn't make it for a interm Heavyweight title.

Yep -- Haye has no control over his next three (at least) fights. Sauerland and King do. And there is no way they will let him fight a Klitschko. Vitali wants to fight Haye before he retires, but it won't happen this year.Comment

Well, actually, they would LOVE him to fight the Klitschko, because in this case they would have a % of Haye`s contract, which, in case of Klitschko fight, would be hu-u-u-uge! It is Haye who won`t let this fight happen, until Sauerland and King have options for his fights...Comment
