He's fighting clottey, and Mayweather is fighting mosley. I don't really see a reason to ***** at this point.

There is actually a law in place preventing Haymon from making those fights, wise guy.

Pacquiao is a true WW now, so no excuses there. He makes the weight just fine. He's strong, agile and fast at that weight!

Yep you're right. That's why he has all the accolades to go along with the support from fans and boxing writers/analysts. I mean obviously they don't know a g'damn thing what they're talking about when it comes to boxing. Its all hype. Even though Pacquiao is voted the consensus p4p champ by none other than ring magazine (owned by GBP) and boxer of the decade by the BWAA (Boxing Writers Association of America), "true" fans of the sport know he's just the great "yellow" hope to usher in a new era of boxing to mainstream America.

I would care about his penultimate mega-fight before he goes for his 8th weight crown, then retire.

Of course. We are fans BECAUSE of who he fights. He just keeps going out there and fighting the best, and he does so in entertaining fashion.

I can't speak for the obsessed, but if he stopped fighting the competition he does, I would stop being a fan, simple as that.
