Hopkins has the most delusional fans. He is not going 12 with Haye.

Yeh but look at all the examples your bringing up. Valuev! Slow methodical. Sound like David Haye to you?

The reason Haye beat Valuev is because he has great skills. Yeh Hop has great skills, but they're not enough to overcome Hayes size and skills.

How did Byrd do against athletic, big, powerful heavyweights? KOed by Ikd, Beat to a pulp by Vitali, TKOed by Wlad.

It's not like Haye is a prime Mike Tyson.

Hopkins has arguably the best defense in the game. He's crafty. he knows how to not get hit flush. I mean seriously, when does hopkins ever get hit hard? You'd have to go back 10 years or so.

Hopkins would smother haye and use lateral movement to stay away from haye's big punches. Remember, hopkins doesn't allow his opponents to set up their shots and he certainly doesn't allow them to load up on their shots either.

It's very, very hard to hit hopkins flush, let alone knock him out. Even at this old age.

****, James Toney would go the distance against Haye even at this stage. Why? For the same reasons, Toney has great defense.
          EXCELLENT!!!!!

cough cough....history has taught us that every time hopkins fights an equally sized, equally talented opponent, he loses...so why would anyone favor him in a fight with a much bigger fighter who has above average skills...

Hopkins gets KO'd by Haye. Pointless fight. I really don't think Hopkins should even try CW at this stage of his career. Finish with the Roy rematch.

Would you class Tarver as a good win?

Tarver was never any good in the first place, he looked terrible in all of the fights I have seen of him. But Hopkins did move up even though I think it was due to a bit of shrewd matchmaking on his part. Kind of like Jones fighting Ruiz
