Hopkins has the most delusional fans. He is not going 12 with Haye.

you can never be 100% sure in boxing but id be very impressed if hopkins made it 12 rounds and won a couple of them. thats about the best i could see him doing against haye.

Then you compare Pavlik to Haye.

So if someone thought that, say, Fres Oquendo could beat the Klits, it would be alright because both are HWs?

And no, I haven't compared Pavlik to Haye, I've compared the situation.

Man Haye could stop dude within 3 rounds if he wanted to. Haye is arguably the Pound for Pound hardest puncher in boxing.

He would've have done exactly what Roy Jones and James Toney did, and cherry pick a Heavyweight title off a slow statue like a John Ruiz.

Either Hopkins goes on his bike for 12 rounds, or Haye sends Hopkins head into Row Z. Prime or fringe Hopkins. Don't matter.
Prime or Old Hopkins Haye stops him.

How would Floyds defense do vs. Arthur Abraham? Exactly. Floyd gets stopped.
If floyd could gain a little more weight on his body, which I don't think he can because he has a small body type, unlike hopkins, I would say floyd would go the full 12 rounds against abraham and possibly even win.

Hopkins defense will not save him in this fight.
It could save him to a 12 round decision.

Further, why didn't you comment on my post last page? I said size isn't everything in boxing.

Weight isn't everything. Look at Eddie Chambers vs Alexander Dimitrenko , Dimitrenko outweighed Chambers by about 50 pounds and he is pure muscle.

I'm not saying it isn't possible, I just think it's not a sure thing like you believe it is. You once said Hopkins was top 10 all time, remember? There is a reason for that. There is a reason the man never gets hit flush. It isn't about size, it's about skill, in particular footwork, lateral movement, knowing how to take punches, etc etc.

And for the record the heaviest haye has ever been was 217.

haye would actually be 'pulling a hopkins' if he fought the guy,the much smaller man

hopkins doesnt want none of haye, its all talk as usual

No one can deny Hopkins skills and achievements hes one of the greatest fighters to ever fight. Im not a big fan of his but he is a legend.

Hopkins lost me as a fan when he picked on Jones. There is just no reason for that. He could hurt Roy bad. Thats why I want to see him lose to somebody.

Its just a stretch when fighting maybe the fastest and hardest hitting heavyweight.

Yea, there's NO way Hopkins could possibly last as long as Monte Barrett.
