Prime Hopkins was making a name for himself fighting guys who were smaller then him. If he did go up to Heavyweight back then, he sure as hell wasn't gonna chance his arm at fighting a guy who would be bigger then him, faster then him and has more power then him.

He would've have done exactly what Roy Jones and James Toney did, and cherry pick a Heavyweight title off a slow statue like a John Ruiz.
