I was doing some research on him, and Aleksei has lost only twice in 200 amateur fights. Considered as one of the best Russian amateurs ever. Amazing.

I couldn't find anything on him turning pro. Hopefully he will, he seems really good.

His first loss came to Frankie Gavin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankie_Gavin_(boxer) who was also an outstanding amateur. He turned pro, now 4-0 (4 KOs). His second loss came to Braudley Saunders, another outstanding amateur.

Does anyone think that Aleksei would still beat Gamboa in the pros?

Gamboa via early KO in the pros.

                    I don't think so.

I think gamboa's hands were too fast for the judges to keep up with, so many times gamboa would land a nice shot or two or three and his score remained the same.

That's why the am's are ****, they need to change the scoring so bad.

the guy looks good though, no doubt.
