some things become more expensive relative to adjusted dollars, some become cheaper. An example would be wool suits or airfares. In inflation adjusted dollars they are cheaper today than they were in the past. for example a flight from Perth to Sydney in australia cost about $300 twenty years ago and you can get one for about that much today. Same with wool suits.....20 yrs ago = $400......u can get them for that price today...sometimes even less....
A prime example of something that where purchasing power has decreased would be land. In inflation adjusted dollars it is far more expensive. For example where i live in Australian in the past the median house price was a multiple of 3-3.5 of the average wage......now it is over 7 times the average wage.......
next time don't just post a bunch of bull**** from wikipedia.......you didn't even answer my question...all u did was cut and paste......
