Somebody explain to me how Mayweather was frightened when he signed his portion of the contract. Manny didnt sign his. Read the facts and stop making it seem like this mega fight didnt happen because Floyd didnt want it. Floyd agreed to every stipulation that was in his contract. Your suppose to bend both ways if you want to make a mega fight happen, and floyd did more bending over than Manny did bending period. How did Manny's performance against a shot Cotto, intimidate mayweather, it was his side that got in contact with Bob Arum to negotiate. And the minute the negotiations began Bob arum kept playing head games to discourage Mayweather from going through with the fight. 10mil per pound every pound Mayweather was overweight, absurd, (but mayweather agreed), 8oz gloves mayweather agreed, 50-50 split, mayweather agreed. He signed the contract, Manny Random's camp had 1,001 excuses the minute they heard that Mayweather's camp was requesting Olympic style testing. Manny's afraid of needles, he'll take blood testing but not random, ok he'll take random test but with a cut-off date. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE, even the mediator came out and said that Pacquaio's camp was misleading as far as what took place during the negotiations.
I live in the US (JERSEY) and im reading a lot of these posts and im surprised at the backlash towards mayweather for this fight not taking place. Guys his part of the contract was signed, manny refused, for whatever reason. I dont wanna hear that Manny didnt want to take orders from mayweather or feel like Mayweather was calling the shots because any request came from Manny's camp, not mayweather's.
People that i speak with in the tri-state area seem to have things in a better perspective. Why the believe that Mayweather asking for OTS was a lil out of the ordinary, nobody believed that manny was on PED's based on what the mayweather's were saying, its when he refused to step up to the plate and take the test that people started wondering out loud why? Point im trying to make is that if you followed negotiations since the outset, and not just reading articles after the fact, then in your heart you know why this fight didnt take place. Its the die hard Pacquaio fans who have a problem digesting this for whatever reason.Comment
