      Current SuperSix...?

A PRIME Calzaghe is very difficult to beat. The current SuperSix present six of the Top10 of the weightclass, and all of them would give Cal a true rund for the money. But at the end of the day, he'd win most of the fights.

As much as I like Kessler and Abraham, I think Calzaghe beats them both in his prime.

I'm a big fan of Calzaghe and i think he beats them all bar one. I think Andre Ward is a very good slick fighter who could give Joe a lot of problems.

If Abraham lands flush he could take Calzaghe out; I think Calslappy's chin is more than a little over-rated. That said though, it comes down to whether Abraham can land that bomb. It would be interesting to see 'Slappy wail away on AA's arms then eat a big right hand for his troubles.

I think Ward could do it; he's got the whole deal in terms of strengths and abilities, but most importantly he's SMARt. In and out of the ring the dude is sharp, and I think that would help him a lot in a fight with someone like Calzaghe.

Dirrell could maybe do it; his speed, switch-hitting and agility could negate a lot of calzaghe's strengths. I can't see Dirrell stopping him, but if he wins a few rounds and drops him a couple of times on the way, he could eek a decision.

Maybe Ward but I doubt it. Calzaghe receives little credit for his best skill, adaptation in the ring. He could adjust to whatever the other guy was doing mid fight...I think he would somehow beat Ward. He would keep Abraham at bay and apply too much pressure for Dirrell. Froch would not stand a chance and he already beat Kessler. He is too slick for Green...I mean Mangler and Ward would have to have a perfect fight.

I'd favor Calzaghe over all of them.

Calzaghe beats Froch no doubt, Froch is strong and tough but thats it. He has no defense and no boxing ability. Calzaghe uses his superior movement and boxing ability to win a clear dominant UD.

Abraham is a tougher fight for Calzaghe because he has a tight guard, has great power and has some decent boxing ability. The problem for Abraham is he only fights in spurts which simply doesn't work against Calzaghe. Calzaghe is a volume puncher and can punch all night. I see Calzaghe throwing far too much for Abraham to deal with, Abraham would land a few big punches throughout the fight but Calzaghe is durable enough to take them and keep going. Calzaghe clear UD.

Andre Dirrell has very good boxing ability, excellent handspeed and isn't very easy to hit. He is a very tough fight for Calzaghe but i don't see him dealing with Calzaghe's workrate, which is alot to deal with for everyone Calzaghe faces. I see Calzaghe keeping the fight at a very high pace which forces Dirrell to stay on the defensive. Calzaghe via boring untidy UD.

Kessler has good boxing ability with a good jab and is simply well rounded overall. From their first fight though, Kessler showed that he struggled with the pressure and pace Calzaghe set and after 4 rounds, Kessler got frustrated and faded. A second fight would be pretty much the same.

Andre Ward has very good well rounded boxing ability with good handspeed and with a surprising good inside game, can fight dirty also. I see Ward causing Calzaghe the most trouble but i do see Calzaghe setting a pace Ward will be uncomfortable with, and Ward would fade, Calzaghe would finish the fight taking a competitive but clear decision.

Allan Green sucks imo, Calzaghe outboxes him easily through 12.

best post of the thread. He's beaten Kessler and Miranda. WOW!!!!

He's a nice fighter, but its waaaaaaaay too early in his career to tell if he could deal with a prime Joe.
