get that thru your head Duece-five

a 2year lay off justifies making a lightweight move up to WW....and suckering him into a catchweight that only HE has to make

Floyd was coming off a 2 year layoff. Most Floyd fans saw the fight as a tune up fight. I know I did.

Manny just beat the guy who beat the guy he's about to fight.

      But styles make fights.

And yes both fights where and are mismatches because of the styles involved.

That's the difference comeback/tune-up fight vs. Fight after defeating Cotto
Tune up? a PPV tune up fight? A Tune up fight billed as "Numero Uno, Numero Dos? Get real.

Because to Floyd fans, he'll always get a pass regardless of what he does. Just like Pac will always get a pass from his fans. Same ****.

Just because he got million buys doesn't mean it wasn't tune-up fight.

If you didn't see it as a tune-up fight you must be delusional.

just because they hyped it up and called it Numero Uno don't mean sh$t.

Its was on PPV because it was a comeback fight and Floyd is involved.

I know you're smarter than this and I'm just telling you things you already know.

But, just out curiosity, where was the backlash from the Floyd fans for Marquez/Mayweather, which obviously, was an incredible mismatch?
nobody's disgusted.....it's the first big fight of the year, and as a boxing fan, i am getting more excited about it as it draws nearer.

at the same time, let's not pretend clottey has a chance at winning this ****.

Not only was it a tune up but, more important, it was a marketing ploy to bring more to the negotiation table. Pacquiao had just beat two guys Mayweather beat but in a more domintating fashion. Mayweather needed to score even by putting on a boxing clinic against the guy whom many believe beat Pacquiao. The fact that Marquez was the #2 pound for pound fighter was a bonus and added to the promotion for Numero Uno. Basically, Marquez was the perfect comeback opponent. Floyd killed 4 birds with one stone.

                  1. Beat the guy who many think beat Pacquiao

                  2. Shake off ring rust

                  3. Move up in the rankings quickly

                  4. Prove his drawing power

In boxing, anything is possible. I give clottey a 30% chance of winning. But I'm merely pointing out the incredible hypocrisy of some Floyd fans.
