I can tell the majority of ppl on this thread never saw JCC at his best live. A lot of nonesense, its like chavez just happen to be undefeated for so long and the belts where giving to him.

Chavez had one of the most dominating reigns of any weight and when Tyson was in jail he was carrying boxing as the main star. He had 100,000 ppl see him at Plaza de Toros in Mexico agains Haugen... I can go on and on but it would get ignored cause ppl will only pick what fits their agenda

the only thing i can say is pac is a hall of famer lock like chavez is and he is more hyped and financially more succsessful, its a different era fighter-wise pac dont measure up as great as he is.and pac is great just not in the same league.

"Leemoorcroft" is beginning to sound like Greg Haugen! We all (us mexicans) remember Greg Haugen!

jcc wasnt even featured in america until the tail-end of hs career, jccs prime was in the early to mid 80s, the taylor fights and all those fights were when he was winding down, before taylor chavez already had a hall of fame caliber record, against dozens of world chmps, post taylor was just the cherry on top.

Pac has a chance but has to continue with his sucess and do something about the PED allegations. Not only that Pac has looked better at the higher weights which JCC didn't (most of his dominance was at 140 and Pac was briefly at that weight). Possible fight yes at that time but both of the fighters have their era. But JCC is legendary and this is comming from somebody that was watching him hoping he lost and then I became a believer.

JCC continued too long with his career and alomost damaged his legacy

the level of comp and long dominance reign make chavez very tough to beat, i see it very hard for pac to dominate against a mayweather or mosley those guys are just too too good, who knows, pacs spirit carries him more than his skills do, i cant knock pac but very few fighters can measure up to chavez, i just dont see pac makin it to no 90 fights without a loss.like i said pac is neverthless a hall of fame lock.

Even without him winning so many title at different weights his fights with the big three Mexican warriors should be enough to get him in. Pac does have a inner child that makes him think he is superman and really believes that he is gonna get thru and win, you can see him enjoying every minute of it

Chavez probably fed his kid steroids so Pac is trying to see him. Chavez Jr. probably needs to use the steroids to go from being a total tomato can to a C-class fighter.

you are right. Chavez did carry boxing in the 90s. i mean there was no other bigger star like him in boxing... when you see thousands of filipinos today at the arenas when pacman fights, there is no comparision to chavez' fans, they were mexicans, latin americans, african americans, whites, asians. it was like nothing i ever saw before and after.. chavez was a monster, but his best weight imo was lightweight, i think pac wouldnt stand a chance against Julio at lightweight
