I think this fight has been made just to further consolidate the fact that Pacquiao can contend (and dominate it would seem) with genuine welterweight fighters. Clottey is the biggest welterweight Pacquiao has faced as of yet, and is probably one of the biggest welters out there at the moment.

I think its a good matchup but I think Pacman will win.

Clottey lost those last rounds cuz he didn't have enough to give to take the fight. He gassed. Cotto was still swinging and caught him with a great left hook to the jaw to end the fight. With 1 eye.

The Best of the Decade of GIVING IT ALL FOR THE FANS

Clottey who was BEATING Margarito until he hurt his hands? Clottey who defeated Judah, which Floyd was having a hardtime? Clottey the man who HASNT BEEN dominated by ANYONE?....i dont think sooo! I will NEVER UNDERESTIMATE the "GRANDMASTER" of the Great Ghanian People.

I RESPECT Joshua, but Manny has never disappointed me...infact, I'll bet my MONEY where my mouth is(which is to Manny) AGAINST Anyone in 140ib-147ib division. present-future....

Good Luck to Both Fighters tho this comming ACTION PACK FIGHTS this March 13, 2010 in CowBoys Stadium.

clottey doesnt have what it takes to acctually beat pac, but he wont go quick. pac is gonna have to chop away at him for a while so it wont be an easy nights work. its easy to say he will come out on top though, styles make fights and clottey doesnt have whats needed to beat manny. thats not saying hes a bad fighter though.

I disagree, Clottey is notorious for being a cry baby when things get rough, he will find another way to lose the fight himself, not that he has much of a chance against the Pacman but he will lose nonetheless.

That could also be the case. But, stamina could be remedied by good training and good conditioning coaches. In this fight, I dont expect Clottey to have stamina problems. he will be fighting his biggest fight and I expect him to turn it a notch in his training. As for Clottey-Cotto, I say Clottey's punches were much more effective in that fight. Clottey took all Cotto's power punches

Clottey for some reason can't win fights. He just doesn't have that little bit extra to take the victory.

He will lose. But he will put up better ights than Pacquiaos past few opponents, who were thoroughly dominated.

Spot on Bully, ppl are acting like he is just going to get Hattoned in there with Pac and its not going to happen.

I am pretty sure he will last all 12 and win some rounds too.

Clottey is world class and has all of the tools except for bone crushing power.

Its now just up to him to get busier and throw punches, its not like he can't he just choosing not to and maybe he will realize that this may be his last chance at being a star in boxing and decide to let those hands go.
