Jermain Taylor should comeback as a LightHeavy

At the end of Showtime Boxing 360 did anyone else notice how big Jermain Taylor looked? I think that at this stage of his career he needs to fight closer to his nature weight, and staying busy with tune ups couldn't hurt either. Looking at his resume shows that he is consistently fighting guys with everything to gain because he is a former Olympian and former undisputed champion. Looking at Jean Pascal I think Jermain Taylor could hold his own at Light Heavy and look impressive if he's allowed to mature at the weight and not rush for only big fights.

I know there will be some that say he's finished but I'm looking for constructive comments for our former champion that not only conquered his stuttering problem but really fought the best of the best.

Jermain Taylor will come back and as the underdog knockout Chad Dawon in 2011 who will be the Undisputed LHW Champion of the world. He will then retire as a legend.

Light heavyweight would be too high for him.

If he couldn't take the punches from guys at middleweight and super middleweight then I don't think he'll do any better against the guys at light heavyweight.

I don't think he'd beat any of the top lightheavyweights.

He needs to look at the careers of guys who went on too long as realise that he's in danger of being just like them.

He should fight a c-level guy in his hometown to see how he feels. If after that he doesn't want to step in the ring again then at least he goes out on a win in front of his fans.

I hear you but if you know anything about making weight it can severely weaken you. IF you have followed Jermain Taylor he's definately packed on the muscle and as you become older you naturally retain more weight. Pascal is a classic example, at light heavy he's got a hell of a lot more endurance and he's become a champion. Remember Chad Dawson was once a middleweight but we know that he wouldn't be undefeated if he was still at middleweight or even super middleweight.

Why? So he could get be hit by even stronger men? Jermain needs to fight some low level contenders or feather fisted fighters for a while...

He definately needs to face a couple of stiffs to build his confindence back. Not having to kill himself making weight would allow him to focus on his boxing skills b/c he his a naturally big man. But again I agree facing a acouple of feather fisted fighters like Hugo Garay, Joey Spina.

yeah I didn't say get in there with Chad Dawson... But it could happen or JT could get KO'd again if he came back without preparing correctly, then I'd say he needs to retire.
