I'd bet that there is a chance that Juan lied about his age to some boxing commission somewhere and has had to stick by that age. Remember that he was born in Mexico and they don't seem to give a ****how old a fighter is, take Barrera turning pro at like 14 or 15 years old.

ok, u know juan dela rosa who just recentlty left the show.
He is a frood boxer, acording to his record in 'the contender' he is a 18 year old kid with a record of 13-0-1 with 11 knockouts
but that's bull****. If you check in boxrec juan de la rosa has a record of 4-0-0 with 3 knockouts and is really 22 years old.
The show lied about his age and boxing record so they could make him into something he is not, the contestants and presenters also lied chatting about how talented he was for an 18 year old.
