positive thats the record, he has the same nickname and it says he fought tarick, if u click on the book on the side of the name it says it was aired on the 'the contender'

That's a big discrepancy in records and age. I don't think Juan could scam the Contender selection process that much. Maybe boxrec confused the fighters.

Juan looks 18 but you know what, isn't there an age restriction on being a pro fighter? If he had 14 fights he'd have had one busy year! So makes sense that he'd be 22. If really 18 the 4 fight record sounds right. Either way something is wrong here.

yeah, and if you look, the minimum age to compete on "the contender" is 18, so what they did probably was just turn him into something he's not, and by saying he's 18 makes him look even better since the minimum age is 18. Good researching

but that's bull****. If you check in boxrec juan de la rosa has a record of 4-0-0 with 3 knockouts and is really 22 years old.
The show lied about his age and boxing record so they could make him into something he is not, the contestants and presenters also lied chatting about how talented he was for an 18 year old.
