You have to give Adamek a ton of credit though. I mean he is going after a very dangerous opponent. He definitely is not taking any shortcuts. Then again he never has.

arreola isn't a one punch KO artist. he's a grinder and he needs to land combinations in order to take his opponent out. i see adamek boxing his way to a UD. yah arreola is bigger and stronger, but he takes a lot of punches too. minto was landing clean on him and lasted 5 rounds takin his punches. we can all agree adamek is better than journeyman 218lbs minto. i think arreola will definitely land shots but i dont see adamek sitting there waiting for the combinations to happen. arreola will never be in shape, EVER. yah he's pretty fast for a guy his size, but theres no way i see him beating adamek to the punch or getting off faster. theres going to be plenty of action because adamek is a warrior but i see a clean UD over arreola. if it's in ontario im there!

His corner & the ref stopped it not chris.this may be a tough night for adamek.
remember vitali wasn't putting full power into those shots they were mainly arm punches he was going for volume rather than damage, he still took a lot of shots but hes been down before, either way im backing adamek UD

HBO will carry the fight with junior middleweight contender Alfredo Angulo taking on Joel Julio in the televised opener. A source close to the negotiations advised BoxinScene to expect an official press conference as early as this coming Friday in Los Angeles, California. Arreola-Adamek is a very intriguing heavyweight fight.

This should be a good fight.

I think the size difference is a little blown out of proportion. Wasn't Arreola was fighting at 175 as a 20 year old amateur? Obviously you'd expect someone to fill out a little considering he's now 28 but not that much, meaning he's mainly just a fat guy which should be obvious. I think Arreola is probably just about an inch, inch and a half taller but we'll see when they face off.

One thing I was saying about Adamek entering the division is that he has good handspeed for a heavyweight and throws in combination and I think that made the difference in the Estrada fight. Arreola obviously can punch a lot better then Estrada and he'll probably start to grind down on him as Estrada did in the later part of the fight so it will definitely be a rough fight for Adamek. However, I think Arreola is going to look baffled when Adamek is throwing off quick, solid combinations on him so I can see both guys having success offensively. It's a tough one to pick because I could see it going either way but I'm slightly leaning toward Arreola by KO.

I really like both guys because they come to fight. I favor Arreola because he has power but I can also see Adamek giving him trouble. I think at the end of the night the bigger man will win.

Arreola doesn't impress me at all... Adamek is way too tough for him and he was hurting Estrada when he hit him. He's gonna put 12 rounds of hurt on Arreola.

                      Yes. Arreola sure isn't a hand-picked opponent.

Floyd Mayweather picks on old featherweights like Juan Manuel Marquez and an old welterweight age 39 Shane Mosley.

Tomasz Adamek, a natural cruiserweight at age 34, goes after prime, hard-punching heavyweights!
