But according to the media he was never in any danger in those fights, so why buy to see him get his ass kicked? Do you go see a movie that you know the outcome to, hoping that there will be a surprise alternate ending? Or will you pay to see a movie you know the outcome to because you enjoy the movie. I'm sure true boxing fans appreciate all boxing styles, and can appreciate how masterful Mayweather is in the ring.

obviously you missed the A part in two of those fights. and the obvious b part of fight 3.

odlh was the A part of the two NOT FLOYD. that's HIS numbers. if you want to go by numbers it was odlh not floyd.

hatton was the A part or shared 50/50 for EACH OF HIS FIGHTS including PAC. so FLOYD definitely did not set the stardom on his own.

JMM drinking piss is still ringing everywhere. once that happened on 24/7 HOW MUCH MORE MEDIA or talk did you hear about the fight. though his numbers were fairly low in his previous fights. they waited MONTHS and waited til a mexican holiday.

HOW MANY ACTUALLY BOUGHT IT TO SEE MAYWEATHER. CAREFULLY PLACED AND BIG NAME OPPONENTS. HE WAS NOT THE UTTERLY COMPLETE DRAW.

besides the third fight was watched by a lot of extra viewers due to the fact the winner was supposed to face PAC-COTTO winner. obviously that didn't happen.

if your going to try to post facts. USE ALL OF THEM AND LOGIC. HE is a draw but your making him bigger than he is. he was definitely not the A side for 2 of the 3 fights.

Men lie, woman lie, numbers don't. And on their three like opponents Mayweather killed Pac in numbers. And by the way Mayweather turned pro in 96, and Pac in 95.

I am a boxing fan, first and foremost. I recognize the fine art of pugilism and see that in Mayweather. It is one style of fighting wherein the mastery of defense, agility, footwork, distance is at its best.

However I appreciate ALL styles of boxing. Pacquiao is also a master of aggressive style of boxing, more dynamic.

Barring personalities, I would love to see both of these fighters fight and their styles. If we are going to judge the person behind the sport then Mayweather doesn't deserve to be even talked about because he is a mercenarian while cherry-picking, a disgrace if you asked me. In that light, I would love to see Pacquiao beat him up.

But I would love to see a Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight.

one could argue that pacman is more popular. he has a whole nation behind him. but numbers dont lie and floyd consistently puts out bigger numbers than pacs fights and his fights against the same fighters floyd did better numbers. but regardless of manny being more popular or not, floyd is the better fighter. and if the fight happens, ALOT of people are going to be jumping ship afterwards and claiming mayweather is the greatest of all time. at which point in time i will have to become a floyd hater and convince people he is not the greatest.

you say mayweather cherry picks but pacquiao has not fought top fighters on his move up in weight besides cotto. diaz at 135 and he is the lineal champ there while nate campbell holds 3 belts please. then old oscar and old, already been ko'd hatton. and floyd is now fighting mosley while pac fights clottey. yeah i thought so.

Pacquiao fought Morales 3X, Barrera 2X, Marquez 2X....those alone were epic fights against the legends. What are you talking about? On the way up he has fought an average of about 2 fights a year....what about Mayweather?

SSM has been waiting for him for a long time.
