All he said was that he has the same potential mayweather did early in his career. He's not comparing alexander to what mayweather is now . If he did, that would be false cuz alexander will fight anyone!

I understood the context, which was why I compared Alexander to the 130 lb. version of Mayweather.

What's funny is Dan Rafael said the same thing about Alexander fighting anyone.

Not quite, but no one ever destroyed Witter the way he did, not even Bradley or a Prime Judah.

Out of the 4 light-welterweight champions, I'd say it's Bradley, Khan then Alexander, then Urango. Khan has the potential to overtake Bradley though but at this moment in time I can't see Khan beating Bradley or Urango and Alexander beating Khan or Bradley.

The Urango/Alexander fight is good for the sport, and good for the division. I expect Alexander to just win, split decision. I also expect Khan to beat Malignaggi then hopefully take on Maidana, who I think he could stop. Bradley, after his next defense, should take on the Urango/Alexander winner (Alexander imo) in what would be the biggest fight at 140lbs this year.

Khan - UD Malignaggi, TKO Maidana,
Bradley - beats his next opponent, beats Alexander to unify WBC, IBF, WBO and maybe he'll be given the Ring belt too
Alexander - beats Urango to unify WBC and IBF, loses to Bradley
Urango - Loses to Alexander, fights Kendall Holt?

I think Urango, after losing to Alexander, should fight Kendall Holt. Amir Khan, after beating Maidana, should defend his title against Devon Alexander. Alexander would have just lost to Bradley but is still the best fight for Khan imo at that point in time.

The winners of Khan/Alexander (I predict Khan to win) and Urango/Holt (I predict Urango to win) should fight for Khan's title, acting as an eliminator, with the winner taking on Tim Bradley in 2011!

That would be a dream come true, it'll be like a 140lbs super-6 (Bradley, Khan, Holt, Urango, Maidana, Alexander). Winner takes all. The winner would probably be hailed as a future hall-of-famer..

But anyway, enough fantasizing... Erm, Alexander.. Nah, he'll never have anything on Mayweather, right now he's got nothing on Bradley.

He's very very talented, his fight against Witter impressed me, if he were promoted by Top Rank or GBP he would've been on a better position right now.

I can't say I see it, he's not as dominant as a 130 lb. Mayweather. The kid has talent, good mentality, and great work ethic, which is what you need to go far, but he just hasn't impressed me enough to say that he'll be able to climb up a few weight divisions and still be elite.
Really? Devon Alexander will be a boring underacheiver too?
